Here we go! This is the Pierce-Arrow 2ton Hydraulic Dump Bed Conversion Kit sold by Northern Tool. its a universal kit, so its going to require some modifications and adjustments, which we'll figure out as we go along! At the same time i am replacing my worn out trailer hitch with a new Class V hitch from Rock Auto (Curt #15300), new rear spring hangars & spring bushings, and im replacing the float in the front tank and the strainer for the rear tank. Also need to fix an exhaust hangar and fix the trailer wiring! So lots of little maintenance issues to resolve. I also need to re-wire & replumb the water/meth injection since the system wont work as is, now that the bed will move. So lots of stuff going on here! 1-24: removing bed, cleaning up frame, repairs to tanks & exhaust, new hitch 30-50: building my own bed hinges 51-80: installing dump system 81-90: filler neck issues 92-129: new tilting bumper + brackets 130-139: water/meth injection mods 140-150: rear bumper finished You can follow along with the install of this over on FSB, starting here.
