Shackle Reversal, Take two. After 9 years, it was time to make some changes. My Sky 3.5" S/R kit served me well, but my front leafs were getting a bit misshapen. I guess being 18 years old will do that. So i took the opportunity to upgrade. I bought a 2.25" Superduty Shackle Reversal Kit from PMF, which uses Superduty leafs instead of 80-97 leafs. not only does it give me an opportunity to put newer leafs in, the longer Superduty leafs also makes it ride better. I combined a 2.25" lift kit with X-Code springs, which are actually the heaviest pack you can get, to keep the front-end about the same height it was before. The ride quality has improved slightly, despite running a heavier spring, and i now have the option in the future to switch so a softer spring, should i ever decide to go down in tire size. |
