This was a small ride out to C&D Canal in DE with a couple guys from FSB
Unfortunately, Will's truck was down, so he rode with me, and Steve & his g/f in his truck. This was a pretty good ride, with alot of mud, and almost no rocks, which was a change considering ive been running rocky trails all summer!
Unfortunately, it was pretty dry when we got there, but about halfway through the day the sky really opened up and it started pouring. But before all that......after we ran the first mudhole, steve's truck stalled while he was playing with the idle, and thats when we realized his starter was shot! So we had to leave to go get one. And as soon as he went to get into my truck, my passenger side nerf bar broke, and sent him flying backwards onto the ground! Actually, i thought it was pretty funny to see, and now i had an excuse to ditch the rock-smashed nerf bars and make some real sliders. So after he put a starter in we went off to play in the mud! We had found a good place to get some flex shots of both our trucks, but my camera never saved any of the pics! Once we made our way out of that trail i realized i had drove over 3 hours and never put any gas in the truck, so we started to make our way back out to the clearing. Then the storm started to roll in, so we decided now was a good time to leave and go get some food. We came back afterwards to play in all the new-found mud.
We had found a nice trail, but it was kinda gooey (Steve got stuck in it), and the sun was starting to go down, so we turned around. But before we left, we went out to the open field to play in some small mudholes when i got my truck high-centered. After several unsuccessful tugs from the rear (and a snapped tow strap) steve was able to get me out of the hole, but not before we got some pics of the truck stuck! It was dark at this point in time, so i actually had to go back later and lighten some of the pictures so you could see what they were of.
