Tday was a trail clean-up day up at the new 4x4 park AOAA. WE got a decent amout of garbage cleaned out (along with a lot of other people), but there is still a lot more to go before were done.
This was also the shake-down run for the 460/C6, wich went down well, they both run very well, and the the newfound power is awesome! The new Bilstein 5150s up front do a very good job of soaking up the little bumps int eh trails, so the truck handled very well all day. Success! Unfortunately, the diesel did not fare too well, as i grenaded the trans a half mile from the entrance to the park. Lots all forward gears, but Darryl was already at the park so he drug the diesel/trailer into the main lot, and then brought me back to the bronco so i could drive it to the lot. He suffered soem carnage as well in the form of a punctured C6 pan, but Eric found one for us and brought it down to the park with him when he came to drag the diesel away. So all told it was a good day for my bronco, but not so good for everything else! |
