3/4*3/16" flat stock, bet to match radius of fender, with four tabs using 1/4" stainless bolts to bold it in place.
16 gauge sheetmetal, cut 5'*8", and riveted very 5" to the frame, along with 6 tack welds on the inside after it was finished. It is rigid enough that i can stand on it without it deflecting. After welding, they required to be partially re-bent to return to the original shape. This is still a work in progress, but once i get em dialed in, they should be pretty easy to swap on/off.
Futures plans include making a wide "semi style" mud flap on a rod that is removable, to hang just below the fender. |
