Water/Meth Injection!
This is the Universal CMGS Autolearn Kit Kit from Cooling Mist. In a nutshell, it is a boost-controlled system that progressively increases injection rate based on (in my case) manifold pressure. Endlessly customizable, and lots of safety features built in.
I opted not to use the 1 gallon tank the system comes with, and instead install a 12 gallon tank in the toolbox. This ensures ill have enough fluid for the occassional road trip towing the bronco. The tank is made by Ace, and i purchased it from The Tank Depot. IMO this tank is perfect for this application having a vented cap & a sump, altho it is a bit tall and i had to notch part of the inner support on the toolbox lid for it to fit.
I opted to install the controller in the dash next to the brake controller. Once tuned, i shouldnt really ever need to look at it, and it does glow a pretty bright blue so having it low keeps it from shining in my eyes at night. I made a wiring harness using WeatherPacks so every component can be easily unplugged and removed for any reason. The pump, solenoid, and FSB are all located with each other in the box, keeping the wiring under the hood and dash to a minimum. |
