2005: This is my new rear axle, a Dana 70 out of the rear of a dually Dodge, 1980-84 according to the BOM (603995). Despite being a DRW axle, it has a WMS width of one inch narrower than the D60 for the front, so it will work well in the rear. I got it with 5.89s & a detroit locker; the 5.89s will go in place of 5.13s. Im also planning on installing a BlueTorch diff cover, and getting rid of those huge drums and hanging Caddy calipers via a disc brake bracket from Great Lakes Offroad. Update 2020: Folder '2' contains pics of a freshened up brake system along with new weld-on caliper mounts from RuffStuff & El Dorado claipers, this time with fully functional parking brake. Update 2022: Folder '3' contains the blown r&p pics, along with a twisted Yukon 4340 shaft, and the new replacement shafts. |
