The quest for a higher crawl ratio is over! Im building a NP203/NP205 doubler via the adapter from Jed's Machining. The BW1356, while serving me faithfully, is dying a slow death. Its worn out, and is becoming a pain to shift. Its also freakin huge! Believe it ot not, but the doubler is only 3" longer! Its also a shitload heavier. The 1356 is light, it weghs maybe 75lbs, but id bet the doubler is more like 250. I can barely move the damned thing! tcase specs: They (Jed's) shorten/respline the intermediate shaft on the gear box on the 203 to allow it to spline into the input on the 205. I also modded the shift rail on the 205 to allow me to split up the front & rear outputs, so i could use, for example, just the front axle, while still in '4 low'. Should come in handy on those tight turns. |
